why should WE care?

...about education in Africa

The school that i support and the one that i am working on raising money for a new school (www.cycleforafrica.co.uk) is doing so well that we are able to share the school supplies with the surrounding areas. For the past year my friends and family have been giving me school supplies to send over to Memusi. We have now managed to build up a stock so that the the other schools that are in desperate need can also be supported.

If people would like to support me in our goal of building the new school please do get in touch, if you would like to send things to the school then also get in touch.

The picture shows the local school collecting their supplies.

The school is in the Magadi region of Kenya. I started to support the school a year ago when they only had 4 children and were struggling to survive. I agreed to take away the burdon of buying their own school supplies and since then the school has blossomed. There are now 40 children at the school and it has got to the point where they need a new building so that all of the children (and adults) in the area can attend school and get an education. The positive thing is that we know we have the support the region and the elders and as such the school is capable of growing. School supplies are expendive for the schools over in Kenya and as such taking away that cost is wonderful. Memusi is therefore the hub for schools that are desperate. They write to Memusi and ask for surpluss which we are happy to provide for free.

Any questions, please do ask or email me at cycleforafrica@yahoo.co.uk.

Any people who wish to send school stationary would be simply marvellous
